Next Generation empowers young people in Marin to learn about pressing environmental and social issues, develop leadership skills, and take grassroots action for peace and sustainability.

Description:
Next Generation believes young people have the power to understand and change the world. We engage youth and adults through community events, school-based activities, outdoor experiences, leadership development, and grassroots campaigns. Our activities encompass our core values of sustainability, peace, and social justice while promoting inspiration, hope, community, youth leadership, local action, and practical solutions.

Our main focus is our ground-breaking Green Schools Program, a comprehensive initiative empowering young people in Marin to learn more about environmental issues and sustainable solutions, gain leadership skills, and take action for our environment.

History:
Roni Krouzman founded Next Generation in October of 2002 to help young people understand the proposed war on Iraq and take action for peace. Since then, numerous institutions and individuals have helped Next Generation grow into one of the leading youth organizations in Marin County, serving thousands of young people every year, primarily through our Green Schools Program.
