BoardMatch Marin
The Center for Volunteer and Nonprofit Leadership of Marin strengthens nonprofit boards of directors through its BoardMatch Marin program. BoardMatch Marin is a personalized matching program that connects prospective board candidates with Marin nonprofits that are in need of board members. This program is available to both individual candidates interested in serving on a board and to nonprofit boards.

What is BoardMatch Marin?
BoardMatch Marin matches prospective candidates with Marin nonprofits that have board openings. A BoardMatch coordinator personally meets with prospective candidates to assess their backgrounds, areas of interest, etc. to determine which nonprofit boards would be the best match for each candidate. The coordinator then connects each candidate with from one to three agencies and follows the candidate through the placement process until they have been placed on a board. BoardMatch Marin also offers an array of board services, including training & workshops and board coaching consultations. This program is available to both individual candidates interested in serving on a board and to nonprofit boards.

To assist Marin nonprofits in their search for qualified people with specific skills & experience for board openings.
To increase citizen participation on community boards by recruiting individuals from the community.
To serve as a resource for and offer training to individuals and nonprofits agencies.
