Interactive Parenting Media

The mission of Interactive Parenting Media is to inform and inspire parents and all who care about children so that every child may be happy, healthy, and thrive. We provide a respectful, inclusive public forum through our interactive radio shows — Childhood Matters and Nuestros Niños — and other media in English and Spanish.

Every Sunday morning our radio shows, Childhood Matters (in English) and Nuestros Niños (in Spanish) are freely available to everyone throughout the Bay Area, Monterey County, and beyond. Childhood Matters has been on the air broadcasting live, weekly, interactive call-in shows since November 2002 and Nuestros Niños has done the same in Spanish since November 2003.

We have almost seven years of experience and a body of work consisting of over 700 episodes in Spanish and English.All of the radio shows can also be heard on our websites or downloaded to a CD or MP3 player.

History:
Interactive Parenting Media is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our mission is to inform and inspire parents and all who care about children so that every child may be happy, healthy, and thrive.

Childhood Matters host Rona Renner, RN (or Nurse Rona, as she’s known on the air), founded Interactive Parenting Media after being inspired by a father in a parenting class she was teaching at Kaiser Permanente in Richmond.



“I don’t remember the exact words, but the essence of it was that now he understood why he shouldn't hurt his child any more. The experience was as if an angel was tapping me and saying, ‘You’ve got to find a way for other parents to hear this father’”.



And that was just the beginning of the journey...
