Kentfield Hospital Foundation
The Kentfield Hospital Foundation is a non-profit organization established to provide assistance, support and encouragement to patients and their families.
Description:
The Kentfield Hospital Foundation serves the needs of low income patients that fall outside the scope of hospital services and other funding sources. Donations are used for 1)equipment not covered by insurance, 2)personal items for the comfort of patients during their hospital stay, 3)assistance for immediate family from outside the area, 4)recreational and entertainment items to lift the spirits of patients and families, and 5)staff appreciation for their dedication to patients.
History:
Founded in 1983 by a group of volunteers associated with Kentfield Hospital to raise funds to assist in the unmet needs of those undergoing intensive care for medically complex conditions and/or rehabilitation...needs that are not covered by insurance or are otherwise beyond the means of the patient. The Foundation Board consists of a dedicated group of individuals, many who have been on the Board for many years, who know from personal experience how costly medical care is and how meaningful a helping hand can be. In cooperation with Kentfield Hospital's CEO Ann Gors and members of her staff, the Foundation is able to be of service when needed to cover the costs of equipment needed for a successful transition to home, items for the comfort of patients during their hospital stay or for entertainment for patients during their for those confined to the hospital.
