The mission of the Lark Theater is to enhance the social, cultural and artistic life of Marin County with high quality film, music, literary and multi-cultural events.
Description:
The Lark Theater is a single screen arts & culture venue offering unique and varied film and other cultural events to the Marin community. In addition to first run and classic films, the theater also offers Live at the Met Opera simulcasts, National Theater from London simulcasts, Live at the Lark Music concerts, Annual Youth Film Festival, Family Film Events and an Annual Academy Awards Party.
History:
Originally built in 1936 and closed down for many years, the Lark Theater was a run-down single screen theater threatened with demolition when a dedicated group of volunteers helped refurbish and renovate it to its art deco magnificence in 2004. Since then, the theater has become an important community culture and arts center.

Since I couldn't afford to buy and renovate the Lark Theater, the next best thing has been to volunteer as its marketing consultant. I enjoy having ideas and spreading the word to help expand our audiences.
