Novato Youth Center believes that all children and youth have talents and strengths and the right to lead healthy, happy lives. Our purpose is to mobilize the community and support families to respect, nurture and guide young people through advocacy and services for children and youth.

For over 30 years, the Novato Youth Center has offered quality programs and services. We currently serve 3,600 youth and families of all income levels in Novato and 17 surrounding cities through Marin, Sonoma and Solano. NYC is a 501c3 non-profit organization that relies on donations and other revenue sources to continue serving the community needs. Our 11 programs and services offer a cultural rich experience. The agency is led by experienced professionals and community members you can trust. Your support will make a difference in continuing to serve the community.

History:
The Novato Youth Center began as a grassroots effort in 1966 through the hard work of dedicated volunteers. Community leaders and parents dreamt of a youth center that would provide families with positive, affordable, and healthy activities for young people in the city of Novato, regardless of income or ethnicity. It took ten years to build this center and, in 1976, the doors opened. Over the years, the center experienced a name change, created new programs in response to evolving community needs, and completed several building renovations. Today the NYC boasts a 2,300 sq. foot facility and serves more than 3,600 youth and families annually.
