History:
Marin County based health education nonprofit responds to President Obama’s call for health care reform.

To celebrate the start of nationwide healthcare reform, PDP II Research Foundation, publisher of Extraordinary Breath, Making the Power of Deep Breathing Work for You, have released their free eBook ‘Extraordinary Breath,’ as part of its campaign to bring preventive care to the health-care system, nationally and worldwide.
The Extraordinary Breath offers an effective, timely solution to the negative impact the global economic meltdown is having on the health and the decision-making processes of millions of people worldwide. The deep breathing techniques in ‘Extraordinary Breath’ are time-proven methods of preventive care and self-directed health and stress management.

“An extraordinary breath is when our intention and our breath are one; with every long, deep and even breath we consciously balance mind, body and spirit,” says Elizabeth Meloney, Program Director at Paul D. Pickens II Research Foundation, the parent organization of Rubbo Art of Energy. “Anyone can benefit from this deep breathing practice, anywhere and anytime. The results are immediate, and profoundly calming.”

The global economic crisis has created a climate of fear and uncertainty that is increasing the number of people at risk for serious health problems. As President Obama declared, in his speech to the nation on Tuesday, February 24, 2009, "Our recovery plan .... makes the largest investment ever in preventive care, because that is one of the best ways to keep our people healthy and our costs under control."

And as Dr. Andrew Weil testified before the Committee on Health, Education, Labor, & Pensions of the United States Senate, on Integrative Medicine: A Vital Part of the New Health Care System,' on February 26, 2009, “… I am suggesting that the time has come for a new paradigm of preventive medicine and a society-wide effort to educate our citizens about health and self care."

“We believe that one of the best ways to address the current health crisis is to teach people how to be pro-active in their own healthcare, “ says Cheryl Lynne Rubbo, “and we feel so strongly that the Extraordinary Breath will create positive change in our world that we are offering it as a free eBook to download.”

The FREE Extraordinary Breath eBook is currently available in English and Italian at www.CultivateChi.com, and will soon be available in these languages: Hebrew, French, Romanian and Spanish, and many more.
