History:
Established in 1902 as a reading room for the blind, the LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired has developed into a full service agency devoted to helping people who are blind or visually impaired become self-reliant and independent. Throughout our 100 plus year history, through numerous mergers and name changes, we have added services of relevance, making available the latest teaching methods, equipment and technology to empower our constituents.
