Marin County tax sites are committed to providing free, high-quality tax preparation services to Marin County seniors, low to moderate income families and single adults in a confidential, culturally appropriate and respectful manner.

Description:
Earn It! Keep It! Save It!(EKS)Marin Coalition is co-sponsored by the United Way of the Bay Area, Internal Revenue Service, AARP Tax-Aide, Prosperity Partners and other local community non-profits. These volunteer tax assistance sites are staffed by trained volunteer tax preparers.

History:
While free tax preparation has been available in Marin County for several years through AARP Tax-Aide and other community organizations, Earn It! Keep It! Save It! began to help coordinate efforts alongside IRS in 2006. After 2 years in Marin County, Earn It! Keep It! Save It! partnered with AARP Tax-Aide in 2008 to provide free tax preparation to all of the residents in need. The partnership has been wildly successful with hundreds of volunteers helping thousands of seniors, working families and individuals access free tax preparation and get the tax refund they deserve.
