The mission of the American Sports Institute (ASI) is to use sport as a means for addressing personal, social, and international issues.

Description:
The American Sports Institute is a research and development, training, and cultural center for the advocation and application of sport and physical education as means for positively affecting personal, social, and international issues.

In particular, ASI uses the positive aspects of sport culture to address personal, social, and international concerns. Currently, ASI's main focus is on applying the positive aspects of sport culture to educational transformation and wellness.

History:
The American Sports Institute was founded in 1985 in southern Marin County. Since its inception, ASI has been involved in the advocacy, development, and implementation of programs related to educational transformation and wellness through sport.
