Whistlestop Wheels offers rides to Marin's people with disablities. We provide approximately 150,000 trips a year in 54 wheelchair-equipped buses.
We provide paratransit service to qualified individuals in accordance with the American's with Disabilities Act, taking Marin's persons of all ages with disabilities to medical appointments, shopping and visits to family & friends. In short, anywhere transit riders would go on fixed route transit. We provide over 20,000 rides a year to people in wheelchairs. We also provide older adult-friendly dial-a-ride service and trips to medical appoints in the Novato area. Without our transportation service, many of of our older adults and persons with disabilities would be isolated. We help to enable our clients to remain active community members.

Wherever Marin older adults need help Whistlestop tries to be there. We offer multicultural support, including one-on-one assistance in several languages on issues such as housing, health care, legal assistance and social security. We have health education and disaster preparedness programs for older adults. Give tax preparedness assistance, counsel on health insurance, offer senior peer counseling and help older adults attain US Citizenship. We offer classes for older adults striving to learn English. There are exercise groups and computer classes. The list goes on, ever expanding.
