Our mission is to enrich the lives of children and the community in the North Bay through quality one-to-one mentoring relationships.

Description:
Founded in 1904, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America is the premiere youth mentoring organization in the United States currently serving more than 200,000 youth ages 6-17 through a network of agencies across the country.

History:
For over three decades, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the North Bay has worked to improve the lives of thousands of children in our community. Our agency currently serves over 1,000 children in Marin, Napa, Solano and Sonoma Counties. Our goal is to serve 1,300 by 2010.

National research has shown that the positive relationships between Big Brothers and Big Sisters and their "Littles" have a direct and lasting impact on their lives. Children in our program are 52% less likely to skip school, have three times fewer dropouts, are 46% less likely to use drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol and have 4 times fewer arrests and teen pregnancies.

Together we can change the way children grow up in the North Bay.
