You will meet with clients, verify income qualifications and gather facts about thelegal problem. Documents may need to be copied. You will then explain the situation to an attorney before they visit with the client. Professionalism and punctuality are requirements. Patience is a particularly useful skill as well as the ability to be decisive and gently take charge.You will not be able to offer opinions, comments, or give advice in any way. A high level of confidentiality must be maintained at all times. Intake interviews take place in the mornings only, Monday through Thursday, from 9:30-12:00. You can volunteer one day or all four days. Some computer ability is necessary. You will be trained to enter data into our Kemp Legal Database.  This opportunity is sponsored by: Legal Aid of Marin
