Are you an advocate for public transportation? Are you patient and willing to coach others about getting around Marin on buses? Marin County Transit District is launching a program to help new riders, mostly senior citizens, become public transit-savvy. Find out how you can jump on the next bus and become a Marin Transit Ambassador! Volunteers must attend program orientation and quarterly ambassador meetings, and be familiar with Marin’s local transit system. Opportunities are available to accompany transit staff to community presentations. Volunteers will receive a monthly Marin Transit local pass (good for unlimited free rides on MT routes) for every month they participate. Flexible hours, minimum 4 hrs/month, one-year commitment requested. Mandatory fingerprinting and background check provided by the district. This opportunity is sponsored by: Civic Center Volunteers
