Are you a church musician look for a place to offer ministry? The Novato Community of Christ needs a pianist and/or organist to play for Sunday services occasionally when other musicians are not available. Services are held on Sunday mornings from 10 to 11 am. Volunteer can use the new Allen organ and/or the Yamaha C-3 conservatory grand piano. The musical style of the congregation is varied and flexible. Congregational singing includes four part hymns as well as contemporary songs. Ministry of music varies from classical to contemporary styles. Musician may also use other instruments he/she is proficient with. In addition to congregational singing, service playing usually includes a prelude, prayer responses, ministry of music or meditation music and a short
postlude. Qualified musicians may receive a stipend.

Experience playing for church services preferred. Musician needs to be flexible, responsive to the feedback of the congregation, and willing to take direction from presiding ministers.
