Join our Natural Resources staff eradicating noxious weeds that pose threats to the native biodiversity of Presidio plants and animals. Come participate in "extreme restoration" in some of the more out-of-the-way natural areas of the Presidio and go after pampass grass, cape ivy, french broom, iceplant, and poison hemlock. Invasives watch out! This is an on-going volunteer opportunity: 1 PM - 4 PM, Fridays.
No experience necessary. Training, tools, snacks, and beverages will be provided. Please wear clothes that can get dirty, long pants, close-toed shoes, layers for changing weather, rain gear (if necessary), a personal water bottle, and sunscreen. Adults, families, groups, and youth ages 10 and up are welcome. With young volunteers, adult chaperones are encouraged. Fulfills community service requirements.
