Need to fulfill service credits at your school? Use your day off as a day on and celebrate the holiday by helping restore your National Park. We have specially scheduled programs throughout the year at sites in Marin, the Presidio, San Francisco, and San Mateo. This project is just for teens so come with friends, classmates, or your school club. Join the Trails Forever Team to do trail maintenance and habitat restoration along some of the most scenic trails in the park. Teens on Trails Dates - 2010 Monday, January 18 - Martin Luther King Jr. Day Monday, February 15 - President's Day Monday, March 30 - Cesar Chavez Day Saturday, April 24 - National Youth Services Day Monday, October 11 - Indigenous People's Day Thursday, November 11 - Veterans' Day Time: 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM
No experience necessary. Training and tools will be provided. Youth ages 14 and up are welcome. Adult chaperones are encouraged. Fulfills community service requirements. Please wear clothes that can get dirty, long pants, close-toed shoes, layers for changing weather, and rain gear if necessary. Also, bring a personal water bottle and sunscreen.
