Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on September 28, 2009 |
At the Richardson Bay Audubon Center & Sanctuary we strive to connect people with the natural environments around them. Audubon Youth Corp reaches out to a diversity of youth in middle and high school and actively engages them in local conservation and restoration projects, citizen science survey projects that monitor the quality of the Bay’s natural resources, and environmental education. Youth have an opportunity to: reconnect with nature; learn about the environment; engage in estuarine, upland & bird restoration and research projects; lead and create environmental education; connect with similarly minded youth, be mentored; present your work locally and at Statewide Assembly to share their projects with the general Audubon constituency and connect with a broader conservation community. Today’s youth will be the environmental leaders of tomorrow if given a chance to see themselves as agents of change today.
