Opportunities available for those interested in assisting with the maintenance and organization of library materials; enjoyment of Libraries and Library environments helpful. provide much needed assistance in verifying that library materials are in correct order and placement throughout the library; return materials to their proper locations and shelves; refer patron requests or questions to appropriate staff; look for missing and misplaced items, etc. We’re looking for volunteers with the ability to arrange items in numerical and alpha order; physical ability to push, bend stretch, read, lift and read book spines; Willingness to become familiar with the Dewey Decimal System. Orientation to the library and specific training on book shelving and the Dewey Decimal System provided. Opportunities exist for 5 volunteers, 3 hours, 1 day per week, Flexible and ongoing, Sundays through Thursdays.  This opportunity is sponsored by: Civic Center Volunteers

The Novato Library is located at 1720 Novato Boulevard, Novato, CA 94947.
From Highway 101 take the Downtown Novato/DeLong Avenue exit. Proceed west on DeLong Avenue to the third traffic light. Turn right onto Novato Blvd. The Library is after the first traffic light on the right, just past 7th Street.
