Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Opportunities available for those interested in assisting with the maintenance and organization of library materials; enjoyment of Libraries and Library environments helpful. provide much needed assistance in verifying that library materials are in correct order and placement throughout the library; return materials to their proper locations and shelves; refer patron requests or questions to appropriate staff; look for missing and misplaced items, etc.

We’re looking for volunteers with the ability to arrange items in numerical and alpha order; physical ability to push, bend stretch, read, lift and read book spines; Willingness to become familiar with the Dewey Decimal System. Orientation to the library and specific training on book shelving and the Dewey Decimal System provided. Opportunities exist for 5 volunteers, 3 hours, 1 day per week, Flexible and ongoing, Sundays through Thursdays.
