As part of our ongoing work monitoring the native oyster populations in and around Richardson Bay, we will be conducting a survey of the shoreline areas at the Richardson Bay Audubon Center and Sanctuary. This will involve searching, counting, and measuring native oysters on rocks along the shoreline, as well as writing down data. Volunteers will work in groups with trained staff to complete the survey. Volunteers should be 15 years or older. The survey will involve walking in thick mud, bending, crouching, and visually inspecting rocks for native oysters for 2-3 hours at a time. This opportunity is sponsored by: Richardson Bay Audubon Center & Sanctuary
