Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Volunteers are needed to work behind the scenes in medical records for a busy health clinic which serves clients in the areas of: immunization, STDs, HIV, TB, and Women’s Health (OB/GYN). Help this busy clinic stay on top of the sheer volume of medical records. Bring your energy and willingness to learn. This is a great opportunity to see how a busy health clinic functions. Specific duties include: retrieving client records from files, picking up client records from exam room doors and delivering them to providers, filing client records, date stamping mail, printing routing slips, filing paperwork, processing lab reports, verifying client eligibility, and coordinating record release and exchanges with clients and outside providers. Shifts are available Monday – Friday 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Evening shifts (4 p.m. – 8 p.m.) are available Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
