Create the 1st website for the Novato Community of Christ. Tasks in launching this site will include developing the HTML portion of the site, creating the site look/feel, and conveying the story of the caring, supportive, and inclusive group of people from the congregation and community service programs. Our motto is "In to faith, out to community." We presently sponsor community activities and events such as "Sounds of the Season" at Christmas, Easter Egg Hunt in spring, and Loma Verde Neighborhood Watch meetings. Our support for the immigrant community includes an ESL program for adults and children, an immigrant led community organization focused on health and food distribution, and a neighborhood youth group.

In June 2009, the Food Pantry run by immigrant community leaders and church leaders started feeding families with 20lb. of groceries per week. In partnership with the SF Food Bank, the pantry now has a client list of over 400 families and continues to feed between 120-200 Novato families per week. The Web site would feature this activity along with the weekly English classes on Thursday evenings. Regularly updated
pictures of all outreach activities would encourage participation and use of the site.

Hours are flexible, but there is a minimum to launch one basic needed page of information. You can also work from your office, school or home. We are looking for volunteers who are comfortable in a faith-based environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. A Web Master would work closely with a representative of the congregation who would collaborate on a process for regular updates of the site.
