Point Reyes Habitat Restoration - a work-out that makes you and the land healthier.

When: Every 2nd and last Sunday of the month, 9 am – 2 pm

Where: Point Reyes National Seashore, meet at the Bear Valley visitor center, Point Reyes, California.

Details: Help CCNB's AmeriCorps members protect and restore endangered plant and wildlife habitat at Abbott's Lagoon, the Lighthouse Bluffs and other high value habitat areas at Point Reyes National Seashore. Visit some of the most beautiful areas in the park and help eradicate invasive plant species encroaching upon rare, native habitat. Learn about invasive plant ecology and the flora and fauna of Point Reyes National Seashore. Plan to work up a sweat manually removing the nonnative European Beachgrass, iceplant and other invasive species.

Who’s invited: Everyone. No experience necessary. Training will be provided. Adults, families, and youth ages 10 and up are welcome. With young volunteers, parental supervision is required. Volunteers under 18 must sign have their parents sign a consent form on site.

What to bring: Bring lunch and water. Please wear clothes that can get dirty, long pants, close-toed sturdy shoes, layers for changing weather, and rain gear if necessary. Also, bring a personal water bottle and sunscreen.
