Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Give a warm welcome to children to the Marin County Health and Wellness Campus in San Rafael. While parents keep clinic appointments and attend classes, volunteers will engage small groups of children, ages 18 months to 5 years, in indoor game-playing, singing, puzzle-solving, and story-reading. Games, books, and other supplies provided. The ideal volunteer is patient and enjoys youngsters. Volunteers must be Spanish/English bilingual, experienced with children, and at least 16 years of age. Hours to be individually arranged within weekday clinic hours of 8 a.m. – noon and 1 – 5 p.m. Commitment: minimum of 4 hours a week for six months. The four hours may be divided into two 2-hour shifts. Mandatory training in confidentiality and HIPAA will be provided, along with LIVESCAN fingerprinting and a TB test. Staff will orient the volunteer to the campus on Kerner Boulevard.
