Are you 55+, bilingual, and looking to help Marin seniors through a variety of aging-related issues? Peer Counselors are needed to provide one-to-one weekly counseling to senior clients in their homes, helping them deal with aspects of aging while providing emotional support and practical resources to help comfort and empower them. Volunteer counselors bring with them an interest in their own personal growth and the compassion and understanding that older clients require. Ten week training program begins September 11, 2009 in basic counseling skills, issues of aging, and community resources.  This opportunity is sponsored by: Civic Center Volunteers
