Volunteer Opportunity Details:

The Education Program Coordinator reports to the Education Director, but also works closely with the other members of the Fair Housing staff. The Education Program Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Education Director with education and outreach services, including the following duties and others as assigned:

Education Programs
• Assist with the organization of ongoing fair housing education programs including the Panel of Americans, the Storyteller Program, and the Fair Housing Poster Contest.
• Assist with research and development of fair housing education programs designed to raise individual and community awareness of the origins and impacts of prejudice and the respect for human rights.
Outreach Programs
• Assist with the organization of outreach programs to social service agencies and the general public about fair housing law and FHOM's services.
• Assist with the organization of newspaper, television, and radio publicity campaigns.
Administrative Support
• Maintain accurate records of education and outreach contacts.
• Assist with the preparation of periodic activity reports.
• Prepare correspondence and mailings.

We provide on the job training. Must have working knowledge of MAC OS.
10 hours per week preferred.
