Help Deliver Health and Hope around the World!

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on October 13, 2009

Save lives and save the planet by volunteering at MedShare where you will be put to work sorting and boxing surplus medical supplies. These supplies would have gone into local landfills or incinerators but because of the support of volunteers like you, they will instead be supplied to health care facilities serving those in need throughout the world.

You'll find hot and cold beverages and yummy snacks served up for our regular volunteer sorting sessions which are held on most Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at our warehouse facility in San Leandro. We encourage you to dress comfortably in layers because you'll be working in a warehouse. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are a must!

MedShare is a great place to volunteer with family, friends, co-workers or other groups. You can all work together and enjoy the satisfaction of doing something that will be life-changing (maybe even life-saving) for someone in the world.

We accept volunteers from ages 8 and up but young volunteers (ages 8-12) must be accompanied by a parent. A short orientation and training session must be completed at the first time you volunteer.
