Historic Preservation Researcher and Fund Developer

Fun,interesting and unique volunteer opportunity to research historic preservation resources for the Falkirk Cultural Center, including grants, in-kind contributions, matching programs, direct funding, foundations, and marketing resources. Organize and create a system to track annual grant announcements for follow up. Prioritize highest potential funding and resource options, as well as assist with applications.

Some knowledge of historic preservation, Microsoft Office applications, grant writing, and marketing. Looking for someone who has some knowledge of this subject and the interest and ability to learn. Training provided will be from our past endeavors, city government landscape and Falkirk particulars. It is not necessary that the applicant be fluent in historic preservation or fundraising, but that they have some experience and basic knowledge paired with a strong interest and commitment.

Directions:

 From the Golden Gate and Richmond/San Rafael Bridges: Take highway 101 North to San Rafael. Take the Central San Rafael exit one block to 3rd Street and turn left. Proceed about eight blocks to "E" Street and turn right. Proceed about four blocks to Mission Avenue. The parking lot at Mission and E Street has two hour parking in the front section. Parking is available in the back half of the lot after 6:00 PM. You are welcome to park in the Falkirk driveway if there is space. Parking for weekend events is in the City Hall Lot across Mission Avenue from Falkirk.
  Nearest Bus Stop: 4th and E Streets, 5 minute walk
