The Spaulding Wooden Boat Center Mission is: *To educate the next generation in traditional wooden boat restoration and building skills; *To preserve the Spaulding Boat Works as a working and living museum; *to restore and return to active use historically-significant wooden vessels; and *To create a community center for the public to experience traditional wooden boat history.
General Responsibilities: To assist with program development, Fundraising events, volunteer coordination and communications. Duties and Responsibilities: *In conjunction with the Program Director: *Assist with development/function of programs *Assist with events coordination *Assist with production of newsletters, brochures, invitations and promotional materials Office: *Data entry onto SWBC’s office database. *Assisting with mailings. *Assistance in editing written materials. Skills Needed: • Good IT skills, such as use of Microsoft packages, email and Internet. • Good written and verbal skills. • The ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Organized. • Able to take ideas and develop them independently. • Attention to detail. From Hwy 101 South: take the Sausalito/Marin City exit; at the exit, turn left toward Sausalito and proceed under the freeway. At the light, turn right onto Bridgeway. On Bridgeway, the third light is Harbor Drive - turn left (Molly Stone's grocery store will now be on your right side). Continue on Harbor Drive past Road 3 and West Marine. The next street is Gate 5 Road. Turn right into the Clipper Yacht Harbor parking lot (by FISH Restaurant). The Spaulding Center is the large white wooden building at the far south end of this lot - look for the blue sign. Park anywhere in this lot;
From Hwy 101 North (Golden Gate Bridge): take the Alexander Avenue exit and follow the signs into downtown Sausalito. In downtown, this street becomes Bridgeway. Stay on Bridgeway all the way through Sausalito two miles until you reach a stop light at Harbor Drive. Turn right onto Harbor Drive (Molly Stone's grocery store will now be on your right side). Continue on Harbor Drive past Road 3 and West Marine. The next street is Gate 5 Road. Turn right into the Clipper Yacht Harbor parking lot (by FISH Restaurant).
