The Mill Valley Public Library is currently seeking volunteer docents to staff our History Room. Work in a beautiful setting nestled in a picturesque redwood forest. Docents help library users find information and assist the librarian as necessary in organizing and managing the History Room’s collection of historic books, magazines, photographs, news clippings, maps, and oral histories. Docents may also assist with the History Room’s digitization project and help design exhibits and displays. No prior library experience is necessary. Training is provided. The hours are flexible. Positions are open for mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekdays, and weekends. Docents may work four, eight or more hours per month. This opportunity is sponsored by: Lucretia Little History Room
