Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Touch a heart. Give a hug. Listen to family stories. If you are a sympathetic listener, volunteering with Hospice By The Bay offers a tremendous opportunity for you to bring an added dimension to the lives of those we serve. Volunteers provide practical support to Hospice patients and their caregivers. This can include running errands, assisting with chores, reading to patients, or just being a caring presence. Volunteers must complete an application, interview and, if accepted, attend a 28-hour training. We ask volunteers to commit to at least one year of service and to be available for 4 hours per week. Next training: Spring 2010. Call for details.
