Volunteer Opportunity Details:

The volunteer van driver provides transportation support to the Transportation Services Department by serving as a driver for seniors and disabled persons who are served by the Novato Human Needs Center. We are seeking responsible drivers who are willing to be on call for our transportation program that provides 10,000 free rides to seniors and the disabled annually within the Novato area.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Demonstrated ability to relate to and work with people with disabilities and senior citizens

• An excellent driving record substantiated by DMV report (to be provided by driver)

• Class “C” Driver’s License

• Comfort with and demonstrated driving skills to drive the NHNC van

• Prompt, reliable and amiable disposition

• Flexible Schedule
