Do you enjoy sharing nature with children? Join us at the sanctuary! Help teach about the wonders of the Bay. Children 4th grade through 6th grade. Do you like to walk along the beach and discover natural treasures on the shore of San Francisco Bay? Study the marine life along the Bay shoreline at the Richardson Bay Audubon Center? The ten class training series starts in September 2009, this year. The training gives volunteers background information on marine biology, ecology of SF Bay, and techniques to lead students on field trips. Bay Shore Studies Volunteer Docents must participate in a ten week training. The training meets Monday mornings. Trainees must also be able to work well with children, teachers, and be able to walk easily over uneven ground, sand, rocks, mud, and stairs.
